Ozriders is a company run by a fellow cyclist called James (Jimmy) Maebus. He recently had some nice kit made up and wanted a bike and helmet to match. I designed the paintwork based on his kit and included pattern work of his foam coloured hand grips to break it up. You might spot Jimmy at the next race looking very pro.

Wooden forks

A bike collector bought a Renovo timber bike frame from the States. It’s a beautiful peice of craftsmanship. He asked me to paint some carbon forks to match the frame. I love a challenge and this was the end result.

Parlee Veyron

Peter at Cycling Edge has always loved and raced cars. He came up with the idea of painting a Parlee based on the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The bike and the Enve 65 tubulars are painted in black and bright orange and finished in 2 pak flat clear.

Merckx Team 7 11

A customer purchased this classic from overseas and it had seen better days. I fully restored it back to it’s original condition, the only changes were painting the lugs green. I colour matched to original colours but added pearl to give it a bit of lustre in the sun.

Buzz’s Parlee

Buzz wanted something a bit different but simple as well. Painted the frame and fork with script logo’s in vibrant blue and orange pearls.

Trifitness Orbea TT

Burnt Orange Bates

Recently bought this old Bates frame back to life. It was completely covered in pinstriping and alot of rust. I sanblasted it all back and applied base layer of candy apple burnt orange and repainted the logos as they originally were. On this project I got a mate of mine Simon Smirk, one of the best hot rod pinstripers around, to finish it off. I then sealed it all with a thick coat of 2 pak clear and polish.

Cycling Tips Rapha Condor

A friend of mine Wade Wallace runs one of the best cycling blogs called Cycling Tips. He was helping look after the Rapha Condor team when they were out here for the Suntour a couple of years ago. He had this very tired frame from the team and asked if I could bring it back to life incorporating his logo and design off his new kit. I kept it pretty simple in the Rapha style and finished it all off with a matte finish.

Bikes4Life

Bikes 4 Life is an organisation that build bicycles from anything they can get thier hands on. They then ship them to Northern Uganda to the communities. The bicycle is one of thier main forms of transport. I didn’t hesitate when asked to donate some time and paint up an old steel bike, using the logo of the organisation as the base of the design. The bike is to be built up as a fixie and raffled off.

A customer wanted his carbon no – name frame to look like a race bike. The brief was to make the bike look like Philippe Gilbert’s world champs machine in the Belgium colours, complete with the lion of Flanders head badge.

Paul’s Parlee Z5

Paul at Cycling Edge builds tons of Parlee’s but when it came to building one for himself, he wanted it to be different to the rest. He wanted a traditional race looking paint job with script logo’s and a green used on a classic porsche from the 80’s. End result looks nice and clean.

SRAM road & mtb frames

Parlee Abstract

Peter of Cycling Edge had this idea of wrapping oversized logos around the tubes of a Z3 frame. The end result looks pretty cool.

I painted the main tubes in silver then removed the stencils to reveal the carbon, then candy apple red over the top

1940’s Rondell Track bike

This old classic was from the mid 1940’s. The original owner raced it back in the day and since then it has been rusting away. I was asked if I could bring it back to life so he could present it to his grandson for his birthday. After many hours of work, the Rondell gets to pound the boards once again.

Baby Blue C50 Colnago

A colnago collector had this tired c50 and wanted a new frash look. We went with a traditional look with a few custom additions. The colour is a pearl duck egg blue.

Jane’s Pinarello

My wife loves Team Sky, especially Brad Wiggins. I painted up this Pinarello for her the same as the team bikes but changed the blue to pearl pink. She says it’s faster than her old bike, must be the paint work.

A mate of mine has raced and collected Colnago’s since they started making them. He got hold of a very tired Extreme Power and asked if I could give it a custom job for his partner for Xmas. I came up with a simple but classic looking Italian theme.

The owner of a company called Roubaix Projects wanted hiz z5 Parlee painted to match his company logo. I was given a business card and told to go for it. Apparently his partner wants one now.

Giraffe

This customer loved giraffe’s. She wanted giraffe pattern painted on the top tube of her Parlee and inside the fork legs. Overall a simple but effective look.
